How do I turn the tables on a co-worker that is trying to get me fired or to quit and is winning at it so far?
I have co-worker that is trying line herself up to be the next head of the department within three years. She has been here for 8 years, she's highly intelligent and experienced. In fact, she's great at her job, it's just her ego and interpersonal skills that really lack. The other problem is that the current head is afraid of her, so I recieve no support there. My schedule has been changed to one to influence me to quit within the year. I really don't want to do this, but work is stressful enough without needless power struggle going on. I would love to chat with anyone about this. I just don't seem to be able to get a leg up on this. She paints me as a bad employee when all of my reviews from higher ups have me ranking well above average in all categories.
Well im just going to put it like this, i dont really understand what you mean or whats going on here, but the main thing is to just dont worrie about her, do what you do best, work at it, make it better, dont try to be better than her, because if you do and you end up losing, then it will just make you mad. be better than yourself, only compete whith yourself, that way if you lose or you win, you know that you gave it your best. If she is all about her ego, and is just ego~trppin, and has too much pride or somthing, then to be honest with you, most people like that end up failing with a hard hit to the bottom, too much pride is not good. Be humble, dont pay attention to her and do only what you need to do. Be nice and smile and keep your head up....thats what my dad did and he made it, through the racism, and stero~types, and on through the jelousy and what you are currently going through...
