Alaskan crab legs are considered to be quite an expensive product, especially in winter season, so don’t wait long to order them. Another reason for purchasing seafood now is the fact that sea products in the country will no longer have an attractive price they used to have. This is because of the biggest country’s seafood market that has recently terminated.
It is true; Louisiana was of a vital importance as our seafood supplier and the consequences of the problem are enormous. And if you think that Alaskan Crabs would not reflect the changes in Louisiana, you are seriously mistaken. The explanation you can find in any economics book. In a highly competitive environment in order to stay in the game you should put your price in a wise way by realizing the real demand and the true product price. Otherwise, your business is at risk to be pushed aside by your rivals. On the one hand, higher price means greater revenue but you will distract the potential customer base and may crack customer’s loyalty. With Louisiana being knocked out of the water in the seafood business, Alaska has 40% less competition than it did before. Meaning that they now have only a competition with the remaining seafood business states like Maryland, South Carolina, and other places on the east and west coasts. In this situation, remaining seafood providers can easily make better profits by raising the price, their products will still be bought. Especially now, when BP oil spill will soon affect sea world population, people tend to buy more sea products than before.
Back to the positive side. Apart from their wonderful taste, Alaskan King Crabs is also very healthy food for most people. They can be added to a list of dishes for every holiday. They are also very acceptable as you can buy them in nearly any store of the country. Usually, you can get those during particular seasons. So if you happen to get them out of season be suspicious about their freshness. What is the most pleasant thing is that it is really easy to cook them. Fast and tasty and you just need some butter or a lemon.
