What to get my sisters baby

My little nephew was born no more than 2 weeks ago. For my sisters baby shower we purchased her a cherry wood Change Table. Though i know she was more than happy that we got her the Change Table i would still like to get my little nephew Emmanuel something that wasnt requested. Basically all i'm looking for are ideas of possible gifts something that would be appropriate for a new born that the average person wouldnt recieve at a baby shower.

Since you already gave a functional gift, I would suggest giving something sentimental...a keepsake that will be kept even when Emmanuel is an adult. My grandmother had a great idea and purchased tiny silver cups for each of her grandchildren and had their names, birthdays and birth weight and height engraved on them. We all still have them, and I even did the same thing for my son before he was born.

Really anything personalized, a piggy bank,a time capsule from the day he was born or a keepsake box to Store Babies first curl/tooth/umbilical stump/hospital band...include a handwritten letter to your nephew telling him how much you love him, how you anticipated his arrival, some of the activities you'd like to do with him and some of the things you want to teach him when he's older.
