Essentials To Buy When You Have A Newborn Baby Girl
It is oh so easy to get carried away with buying cute little outfits and bits and pieces for your soon to be born baby girl, but some restraint may be needed unless you want a cardiac arrest when the credit card bill arrives at the end of the month. There are certain essentials that you will need, but sometimes when it is your first baby it is hard to know exactly what you need and how many of each item you will require.
Baby Cribs are absolutely essential, but if you are planning on having more than one child then it is best not to buy a cot that is too gender specific. You can make the cot more feminine by adding quilts, pillows and rugs that are pink or in girlish prints. You may also be able to add accessories or embellishments to the cot such as bows as long as they are safe.
As well as decorating the cot you can also add features around the nursery that will add to the gender theme. This can be an effective way to make the room girly without having a cot that is too girl focused to be unusable in the event of a future male baby.
When you are buying clothes for the baby do not buy too many clothes in the new born size as they grow out of them very quickly. It is better that you buy more clothes such as girls sweatshirts, rompers and so on in the next size up from newborn.
With your baby you are also likely to need a good amount of girls t shirts or under shirts. Babies quite often end up wetting them, vomiting up milk onto them or slobbering on them. If you have around seven, then you will have enough in store for spares and some in the washing at any one time.
Other items that you will need include loads of baby blankets and wraps depending on the time of the year that the baby is born, a bath, Change Table, nappies, lotions and a thermometer. Buying an ear thermometer is a good investment as they give fast and accurate readings and it will last you for years to come.
When you are expecting a baby there are many different items that you have to buy. If it is the first baby for you, then you should call on the experience of other mothers you know and trust to find out what items they consider to be the essentials and which ones you can probably live without.
